Hello all. Any suggestions as to how I can get a mouse, optical or serial, to run in kubuntu??I have mandriva 2007 on my primary hard drive, and have tried to run kubuntu or linux mint on my secondary hard drive. All installs well apart from the mouse

I think most of the mouse could work fine with Kubuntu

your problem should be configuration part, if you could explain your problem more specific and what type of mouse are you using?
what error came up when you try to connect your mouse?

then we might be able to work on with with you to sort it out.

Regards

Hello again, have tried both an optical usb mouse and an old serial mouse to run in kubuntu 6.10. I get the install done, get a gui.but no mouse. both mice work fine with mandriva 2007. I have tried a text install, the o.e.m install, and all the various parameter changes in the boot options. Having the same problem with linux mint bianca.
